Although “MAGA hypocrisy” is a redundant term like “Convicted felon” or “Pedophile priest,” highlighting the absurdity of what Trump and his Republican racists (also redundant) are dismantling in real-time is a form of fact-checking. The same moronic Klan that was apoplectic over the removal of statues honoring the Confederates, the losing team in the battle to end slavery, is now whitewashing the history books to erase all the positive reminders of that same defeat. Yes, we should’ve anticipated this, considering 80 years since WW II ended, and MAGA still supports fascists and denies Holocaust survivors’ existence. Even after Hitler got himself smoked during that war. I mean, this fascination with losers makes sense. Their demi-god dictator, Donald Trump, is one of history’s worst failures. And yet his cult following proudly wears his merch like a MAGA uniform. So what I don’t get is if they are so content celebrating defeat, then why all the fuss on January 6th? Perhaps the insurrection was never about the election loss itself. But an audition to once again be on the wrong side of history. At this point, if scientists one day successfully beat cancer, MAGATS will be brazenly flying tumor flags over their lawns.

Over the past month, when she hasn’t been kidnapping legal residents or turning Guantanamo Bay into a beachside villa for deportees, Kristi Noem has been busy playing dress-up across the country as a Swat Team Officer, a Firefighter, a Coast Guard Captain, and a Cowboy. I am starting to wonder if her appointment to Homeland Secretary was to help protect America’s national security interests or a self-fulfilling Make-A-Wish tour.

In Today’s Palate Cleanser, we learn the Boston Celtics were sold! It appears the recent HBO Documentary “Celtic City” was never a tribute to the greatest dynasty of all time but rather a $6 Billion infomercial. However, I still can’t recommend the limited Max series enough. Even for non-sports fans, it is an in-depth look into the relationship between a racially diverse organization and a city going through a divisive era during Boston’s racial integration. It was Boston’s darkest days but a necessary evil to expose and root out the racist underbelly of a growing city. If not for the Civil Rights Leadership and the example set by the Celtics players and organization, Boston may have never shed its bigoted past to evolve into the melting pot symbol of racial inclusion the city strives towards still today.
