When the so-called “smartest” man in the MAGA-verse can easily ridicule the Department of Education but yet struggles to spell it correctly. Perhaps funding teachers should be a higher right-wing priority than arming them with guns. Then maybe Kids would be more likely to read and write at a decent level than be accidentally shot in a friendly fire incident at school.

Meanwhile, Republicans fail to mention the Department of Education is the leading roadblock preventing their Christian Nationalism agenda from infiltrating America’s public schools. So, to claim this is a win for any other reason besides that is being disingenuous, like commenting “Thoughts and Prayers” for Facebook likes. Instead, they drone on about giving the power back to the states. However, the only power they don’t already possess is the only one they care about, the purchasing power. A state whose schools rank dead last in education and yet first in trafficking unsolicited Christianity. Oklahoma’s curriculum produces more uncalled-for religious conversations than the entire door-to-door salesforce of Jahovah’s Witness. And, as if forcing Bible study onto non-Christian students wasn’t enough corruption, Oklahoma’s Superintendent changed the state’s requirements so only Trump’s Bible qualifies for the $55 million payout from unsuspecting Taxpayers. Or, as MAGA calls it, “Trump’s God’s will!”
