Donald Trump is at it again, no, not having sex with children, but on a sliding scale of legality, this particular conduct falls somewhere between Watergate and O.J. Simpson. It all started with what the kids are calling a “Boomer” moment. You know, when you’re shit talking someone you work with to your ride or die, and that momentary panic attack you feel between the time you hit send on the text and double-check that you didn’t just accidentally send it to the co-worker you referred to as “Butthole eyes?” Leaving you no choice but to, at the very least, quit your job and, depending on how well-liked your victim was, possibly self-deport to a nomadic tribe in the South Sudan? Yeah, well, Trump actually did that shit in real life, but instead of messaging his co-worker, he mistakenly CC’d planet Earth on a felony. And sure, Donald Trump doesn’t get embarrassed, feel remorse, or even have human emotions other than hate, horny, and hangry. However, it is further proof that this man shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near an iPhone unsupervised, let alone the nuclear codes. And that sooner or later, that all-caps-confessional Truth Social Account of his is gonna turn State’s witness on Trump, faster than Melania’s prenup-regretting ass. I must say, though, Trump’s follow-up, “Nothing to see here, folks!” post, may not be the “Men In Black” mind erasing “Neuralyzer” he thinks it is. But credit where credit is due, that’s a level of delusional confidence that even puts a glass-half-full spin on dementia.

In today’s Palate Cleanser, President Obama spoke eloquently about the dangers of Trump’s divisiveness and the damaging repercussions it has on our democracy. Reminding us all that, as American citizens, we deserve so much better than Donald Trump as President. Sure, they can’t all be Obamas, but at this point, I would even take Dubya’s younger, and far more tedious, simpleton brother Jeb.
