I am a fairly moderate Democrat, for instance, from Joe Manchin to Bernie Sanders, I would grade myself an Andy Beshear (Kentucky Governor), on a Left-Wing Lunatic curve. However, since the entire Republican Party has set up shop on the Boogaloo Bois right flank. I am still lightyears closer to a democratic socialist than I am to New York Republican Mike Lawler, America’s most punchable “moderate.” The political equivalent of a volunteer firefighter whose day job is: racist arsonist. Still, my biggest beef with the so-called “progressive” wing of the Democratic Party is that I see some of the same pendulum-swinging behavior that I called out during MAGA’s early fermentation. This reliance on disinformation to cut off all oxygen to the mind and convert it to a toxic gas, called “Shit For Brains.” I mean, since when did denying the holocaust become progressive thinking? Even at an Earth Day event, you’re far more likely to bump into an antisemetic tween than a Springsteen fan. Now, don’t get me wrong, Benjamin Netanyahu is a fugly fascist, and his response to the October 7th terrorist attack is proof that two wrongs can equal a genocide. But somehow blaming the Jewish faith for Netanyahu’s war crimes is like blaming Alexi Pretti for the ICE murder of Renee Good. Although in that scenario, Pretti would be even more complicit than the Jewish people. Considering Israel has been stripped of the right to vote Netanyahu out of office. Meanwhile, the American electorate watched Trump overthrow the will of the people on live television, and less than 4 years later, thought his authoritarian ass might be worth a second look. So if any race of people deserves blanket blame for their leader’s flaws, it’s not the Israeli Jews, it’s the dumb-fuck whites. That’s why, when I see actual “dumocrats” fall for the same propagandic tropes that hog-tied Trump a moron super-majority, I not only question humans’ “official” intelligence, but can also imagine the Midterm attack ads claiming: “Democrats: Making Natzis Socialists Again.” But with all that said, I still believe Democratic Socialism may be the only political ideology to protect America from the dystopian AI reality that is rapidly approaching like a kamikaze comet giving zero fucks. How do we expect to feed, pay, house, educate, and placate an entire population replaced by a robotic workforce and computerized fuck dolls? Someone needs to legislate the tech oligarchs to do the one thing they don’t want to do: share. Because if the working class doesn’t wake the fuck up, it will sleepwalk itself into extinction. So, yes, socialism is not only the future of the Democratic platform, it’s vital to the survival of our democracy. However, even a Kennedy ditched socialism because it’s easier to sell measles to rural America. Socialism has a terrible reputation and has been blamed for more failed situationships than J Lo. But just because someone’s a sucker for bad boys doesn’t make an OJ Simpson decapitation: “A good call.” Socialism isn’t inherently corrupt; its major malfunction has always been the people it’s chosen to jump into bed with. That’s why living under democratic vs authoritarian socialism is the difference between Utopia and Venezuela. But as Donald Trump has proven, it’s easy AF to sell bigots on the potential upsides of a dictatorship. So, until we rid the Democratic party of the antisemitic adjacent a-holes susceptible to race-baiting manipulation. You’re opening the door for trillionaire donor and apartheid’s biggest regret, Elon Musk, to literally buy in. Which is exactly the type of guy Socialism has been known to fuck over its own family, friends, citizens, and potentially millions of future Musk stepchildren for. So, perhaps Democrats should pump the brakes a bit and make sure our own house is in order before our nationwide rollout of socialism turns into another SpaceX launch that implodes on takeoff. Otherwise, in 2032, that pendulum swing might just land at Kid Rock headlining his own inauguration ball.
